How Freedom & Growth Child Therapy Works
In our work with children, Freedom & Growth uses targeted therapy that would be most suitable to the difficulties being experienced. There is also an option of a combined dual adult approach. Both therapists can work together with the same child in order to create a group dynamic. The process of belonging gives the child an opportunity to feel empowered and as equal, able to express themselves productively. During the session, the therapists intuitively and skillfully liaise on best practice and intervention to trigger realisations in behaviour.
Working together creates a unique environment where participants feel a part of a circle of trust. From experience, we’ve found that a ‘group’ therapy feels significantly less intrusive and enables children to feel at ease. From a professional stance, we are able to observe and continually ensure a light hearted atmosphere. This group work approach reduces the feeling of ‘wrong doing’ and the intensity of a one to one session.
Unity and the dynamic of friendship means we as therapists are able to mirror real life scenarios to help the child see a different perspective. By asking for their input and corrections, the child is able recognise how they might facilitate change in their own lives.

Summary
Addressing issues early is critical to prevent more long term harm. Children are like sponges and they are constantly absorbing experiences more than at any other time of their lives. Identifying unhealthy patterns of behaviour or conditions is the best thing you can do to help.
